A typical evening in for me after a long day of work, when I finally get a moment of silence and not needing to think. A time when I get to lie down, read some articles and hang out with my cat. I believe it must be Bosley's favorite time of day too.
This image actually took me a lot longer than I thought it would, and I really struggled with trying to get the pose right. I wanted to cut out all the mess ups I made, but I decided to show them anyway. The sketches actually took as long as the final piece once I got into the swing of things.
I think when we see other artists' work, or at least when I do, I always think, "Wow it's so perfect!" But we rarely think about the amount of time and thought that goes into getting that final image. I really wanted to cut out all the mess ups and just forget about all the struggles and sketches I went through, but I decided to show it anyway. Even though I would rather hide the "mess-ups" so my process looks more "perfect" - in reality, it just wasn't so and those sketches is what got me to this final image.
